Since the relative value increment decreases with increasing stand density and mean tree size, it can be assumed that reservation price is negatively correlated with stand basal area and mean tree diameter (Lohmander 1995; Gong 1998; Lu and Gong 2003).
This model seeks to explain stand productivity P as a function of species richness R, the stand structural heterogeneity expressed by the diameters' coefficient of variation, CVd, stand density, SDI, mean tree size, represented by mean tree diameter, dq, mean annual temperature and annual precipitation.
Fig. 10 Cumulative net income and timber drain, and the average growing stock volume in three different management scenarios (No fertilization, 150 kg N ha-1, Optimal dose of N) in a forest where Pine VT, Pine MT, Spruce MT and Spruce OMT each cover 25% of the surface area and each stand type has 25 different stands differing in basal area and mean tree size (left).
Overall, some combination of stand density, mean tree size and average competition index were significant predictors of size inequality at all sites.
In general, stand density, mean tree size and average competition were expected to be significant predictors of changes in both size and size increment inequality.
At three of the four sites, size inequality was positively associated with density and mean tree size, and negatively associated with average competition.

The temporal development of the Gini coefficients for volume and volume increment at each site was modelled using stand density (DENS), mean tree volume (SIZE), the average competition index (COMP), and stand-level annual volume increment in the current year (AVI) and one year previously (AVI1) as predictor variables.
We compared the average phylogeny sizes between these processed ML inferences and our MP data, quantified by the fractional difference between mean MP and mean ML tree size over the 200 data sets.
Mean tree density, size and total canopy cover were significantly greater with compost applied at 60 t ha−1 to overburden than with all other treatments, especially those on topsoil where tree growth was inhibited by undesired species.
The analysis of the 7,738 protein phylogenies of PANDIT database shows that the scaling of the mean depth with tree size lies between the two extreme topologies for binary trees (fully imbalanced and fully balanced trees), with the exception of a few polytomic subtrees, which display mean depth values lower that the one expected for the same size fully balanced binary tree.
Stand age, mean circumference of the host tree, size of forest site and tree species composition did not show any significant influence on allelic richness, Shannon's information index, Nei's unbiased genetic diversity, clonal diversity, the number of private alleles, and the minimum number of colonization events of U. subfloridana populations.
