Since the human eye is very good at detecting visual inconsistencies we believe that visual evaluation is an appropriate method for evaluating many registrations within a limited amount of time.
For the project, SRI International will work closely with researchers at the University of Amsterdam (see their paper "Spotting Audio-Visual Inconsistencies (SAVI) in Manipulated Video" for more details) and the Biometrics Security & Privacy group of the Idiap Research Institute in Switzerland.
This second run of episodes featured noticeably different visual designs, inconsistencies with the original episodes both in storyline and in visuals, and different sound effects.
These variations were successfully validated using visual examination, Mendelian inconsistency, CNVPartition, and qPCR.
