The analysis of the three types of hotspots based, respectively, on the total number of species, the number of endemic species (species with the smallest breeding ranges), and the number of rare or threatened species in the area showed that only 2.5% of hotspot areas were common to all three types of hotspots and more than 80% were unique to only one type.
From the analysis it appeared that separate mechanisms were associated with the different types of diversity and that the different types of hotspots should be used together in setting priorities for conservation efforts.
Consequently, the different types of hotspots also vary greatly in their utility as conservation tools.
Both types of hotspots should represent productive starting points for future natural product discovery efforts aimed at expanding the structural diversity and potential utility of specific biomedically relevant natural product families.
The ability to assess the significance of these different types of hotspots can lead to important additional biological findings that might be overlooked by previous approaches, while still avoiding the detection of spurious hotspots.
In contrast, DNA methylation levels are statistically not distinguishable among these three types of hotspots (ANOVA, P = 0.6, fig. 4 C), consistent with our finding that DNA methylation variation itself is not a strong indicator of temporal variation of mammalian recombination hotspots.

- Can we group different cases under the umbrella of one type of hotspot? - Does the pre-selection sufficiently reflect the diversity of submitted case proposals?
Combining these two facts, we see that, at least in the case of this type of hotspot, the location of mutation is determined combinatorially by the binding of multiple interacting factors, much like the location of transcription is determined in the performing phenotype (writing function is determined much like performing function).
In particular, the Internet services through which the trafficking activity has been carried out as well as the types of cyber-hotspots used are specified.
The most common types of suicide hotspot are bridges, tall buildings and cliffs [ 2- 5], railway tracks [ 6, 7], and rural or secluded locations [ 8].
