Accumulation-mode devices are an alternative to conventional MOSFETs that do not require high cost ultrafast annealing technique for fabrication of smaller length devices.
A marked acceleration/deceleration was observed to occur in cracks of smaller length scales due to local microheterogeneities consistent with prior observations of small fatigue crack interaction with the native microstructure and texture.
Wherever the bedrock and formation is permeable, only a small number of relatively longer streams are formed in a well-drained watershed, a large number of streams of smaller length are developed where the bedrocks and formations are less permeable (Sethupathi et al. 2011).
With one exception (Dataset4-90), the results in Table 2 show that spending 270 seconds to solve each partial covering problem always yields a solution that is better (i.e., of smaller length) than those obtained after spending only 90 or 180 seconds on each partial covering problem.
These studies also found that faster polymerization rates resulted in retention of smaller length scales, a trend often reported in similar studies of microemulsion polymerization.
Note that the work load reduction at fragment length 1000 nt does not yield the same speedup for sequences of length 1000 nt (here this speedup is about 3.5, confer Figure 4(b)), because for a sequence of length n, all fragments of smaller length are processed by the algorithm.
