Modern experiments for the search of extremely rare processes require high resolutions (order of 50 200 keV/c) tracking systems for particle momenta in the range of 50 300 MeV/c, dominated by multiple scattering contributions.
Refinement of structural parameters included distances (R), coordination numbers (N), and Debye Waller factors (2σ) and included multiple scattering contributions from outer-shell atoms of imidazole rings and from linear CO groups.

The chamber design has been developed keeping in mind the requirements for the search of rare processes: high resolutions (order of 100 200 KeV/c) for particles momenta in a range (50 100 MeV/c) totally dominated by the multiple scattering contribution (e.g., muon and kaon decay experiment such as MEG at PSI and Mu2e and ORKA at Fermilab).
The slight yet appreciable oscillations of experimental data in Figures 3 and 4 are possibly due to multiple backward scattering contributions not considered in the present theoretical model.
