CK5/6 staining was very low or absent in most tumour samples.
Bax and Bcl-XL were over-expressed in most tumour samples, while a majority of the tumour samples expressed Bcl-2 at levels equivalent to normal OCSE.
Integrin α5 and α6 staining was present in the basal layer of normal epidermis and was increased in most tumour samples, although not as dramatically as integrin β1.
In addition, the proportion of stained nuclei within a sample was different: most tumour samples that displayed nuclear MI-ER1 α contained fewer than 10% stained nuclei, whereas the majority of normal samples contained >50% stained nuclei.
In these selective paired samples, it was seen that most tumour samples had a stronger angiomotin signal, however, signals for angiomotin-like-1 and -like-2 were not different between normal and tumour tissues.
Compared to other peptides in the same range, HNP 1-3 showed average signal intensity in most normal colon tissue extract, whereas the HNP 1-3 signal was extremely high in most tumour samples (in some tumour spectres the HNP 1-3 peaks were the strongest of all peaks).

Exon 3 deleted PRΔ3 mRNA was seen at low levels in most breast tumour samples examined and in T47D cells [ 47, 49].
However, most human tumour samples for which long term clinical records are available exist only as formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded specimens.
It is also detected in most human tumour samples analysed (Counter et al, 1994; Kim et al, 1994) suggesting that telomerase activation may represent an essential step in tumour progression.
For the most part, tumour samples (especially where paraffin blocks are concerned) do not provide a sufficient amount of high-quality DNA to repeatedly analyse all TP53 gene elements.
Using this algorithm, genes can still be selected for further analysis, even if it is not in (almost) all cell lines re-expressed or not silenced in most primary tumour samples.
