Lightfields (ITV) also reminded me of something: a series called Marchlands that I reviewed two years ago, in which several different stories, set in several different decades in the same spooky house, became intertwined through a ghostly remnant of an old tragedy.
I gather that both this series and Marchlands before it were based on an even earlier American show called The Oaks, which never got past the pilot stage.
