Delta Air Lines in Atlanta said yesterday that it had ended a two-month review for the creative and media parts of its account by selecting two New York units of the WPP Group to handle the duties.
In addition to Burnett, the agencies are the Atlanta and New York offices of BBDO Worldwide, part of the Omnicom Group Grey Worldwidee in New York, part of the Grey Global Group; McCann Erickson Worldwide in New York, part of the McCann Worldgroup division of the Interpublic Group of Companies; and two New York units of the WPP Group, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and Young & Rubicam Advertising.

The New York unit has been tied, along with other banks, to the Enron collapse as well as to possible conflicts of interest.
In an interview, Richard Esposito, a journalist and co-author of "Bomb Squad," a 2007 book about the New York unit, said many of its investigators retired after 9/11, and "a lot of fresh blood came in".
Ms. Hite and Mr. Stockton praised the work on the campaign by the Framestore New York unit of Framestore, a visual effects company that, he said, "integrated the gecko into the environments" faithfully enough that "he doesn't look composited".
The Plaza Hotel, where F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald pranced in the fountain and Eloise burbled "Oooooooo, I absolutely love the Plaza" as she pranced through the corridors,- is being sold to the New York unit of an Israeli developer for $675 million.
The campaign, which also includes ads in newspapers and movie theaters and on Web sites that range from A (AOL) to Y (Yahoo), is by the Grey New York unit of the Grey Group, owned by WPP.
Grant Glickson, chair of The New York Times unit of the Newspaper Guild of New York, said he was pleased with the vote.
"In the past when you had back pain, you were told to lie down until it passed," said Prof David Torgerson, director of the York Trial Unit at the University of York, who led the study.
"Ikea was looking for someone to help them articulate who they were in a way an American audience would understand," said Lars Bastholm, the chief creative officer for Ogilvy & Mather New York, a unit of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, part of WPP.
