Indeed, Ste18p-GFP (Gγ), an indirect marker of Ste4p (Gβ) localization, is broadly distributed at the plasma membrane in AI-Ste4p cells (Tanaka and Yi, unpublished data), perhaps contributing to the round phenotype of AI-Ste4p cells.
