Figure 7b shows that yarn twist insertion to produce complete coiling results in a large tensile actuator contraction when the neat yarn is heated to extreme temperatures: a 7.3% reversible tensile contraction upon heating to ~2560°C under 3.8-MPa tensile stress, corresponding to 0.16 kJ/kg of contractile work capability per yarn weight.

Yarn weights have been standardized by the Craft Yarn Council.
Here are some of the most common yarn weights: Lace or 2 ply yarn: Beautiful for shawls or doilies.
Place a label on the outside of each bag with the yarn's weight, fiber content, and yardage clearly indicated.
You also may want to bag your yarn by weight (fingering, worsted, sport, chunky...etc) if you are really organized.
