Note: One new thing that is going to take some getting used to is the "x" close tab button right on the tab header instead of off to the right where it used to be.
The newest version of OS X has tabs along the top of the About This Mac window that allow you to quickly jump between the different categories of hardware.
Close tabs by tapping the "X" in the Tabs frame.
Now that you know this isn't about yet another opinion on the thing, you can move your cursor away from the "close tab" x, unless you're reading this on Google Glass, in which case I beg to inform you, sir or madam, that it is not becoming.
Click the X on the tab you wish to close.
Our favorite is the Launcher X, as its tab-based folders work very much like organizing tabs in Firefox or Safari.
If the OS X Activity Monitor's Energy tab is to be believed, though, this new developer version in power-saving mode definitely looks like it's using less energy than Chrome.
Tap the X to close a tab.
From here, you can use the X or swipe a tab left to close it.
Use your mouse or trackpad to position your cursor above the "x" on each browser tab.
From here, you can touch the X next to a tab to close it, or swipe it to the left.
