I believe the swimmers in the world class programme are in the best physical and mental condition I've seen them in the four years I have been in Britain.
On the subject of the national performance director, the panel said the new appointment "must be UK-based to provide strong and dynamic leadership of the World Class Programme (WCP) and to work in close consultation with a newly-appointed head coach to develop the WCP and fully address the recommendations from the debrief".

Speaking earlier this month, GB's Taekwondo performance director insisted there was no 'witch-hunt' against Cook and that although they were disappointed he chose to walk away from their world class programme, this was not considered in their Olympic selection.
"We want to have quality international wrestling in the world class programme in Manchester - we haven't got plans to recruit further foreign training partners, but that policy will be under continual review," he said.
"Should these issues resurface in the future, UK Sport will not hesitate in renewing its plans to channel its funding through an SPV, in the best interests of the athletes and World Class Programme".
