In general, quantitative measurement techniques are used when modelling tissue contrast agent concentration although some workers model signal intensity, making the assumption that signal intensity changes are proportion to contrast agent concentration changes (Brix et al, 1991; Buckley et al, 1994; Hoffmann et al, 1995).
Workers reporting pain intensity = 0 were considered pain free.
This is because fully trained low intensity workers would normally be employed at AfC 5 or 6.
However, 101 and 137 of these workers rated the intensity as 0 or 0.5, that is, effectively an absence of pain.
The reasons are uncertain but could be related to young workers higher work intensity and their greater involvement with tasks associated with nicotine poisoning.
The JEM used proximity to the ovens, as did the zone classification used in the original study (Sinks et al. 1992), but also incorporated job descriptions, plant layouts, workers' mobility, exposure intensity and frequency, inhalation and dermal exposure to PCBs, and exposure to other chemicals.
If this is the correct interpretation of the finding, the relationship between a service's distribution of salary bands and its overall reliable recovery rate may change in future years as services increase the number of fully trained low intensity workers that they employ.

How this can be done reliably without greatly extending assessment time, particularly with low-intensity workers, also needs to be considered.
