Workarounds are not yet a clearly indexed concept in academic literature databases.
From this perspective, non- or partial adoption, mis-use, non-use and workarounds, are not simply negative effects, pathologies or signs of failure, but are different enactments of the 'technology-in-use' [ 58, 79].
However, nurses also identified them as unsafe in particular contexts [ 69, 87] and as workarounds are not legally sanctioned, some nurses perceived them as professionally risky [ 36, 44, 52, 66].
In the absence of such an option, I guess a manual workaround is not to type URLs into your WhatsApp chats.

From our perspective, non- or partial adoption but also rejection, mis-use, non-use, resistance to EHR and workarounds, all are not simply negative effects, pathologies or signs of failure, but are alternative enactments upon technology, which may pave the trajectory of organizational learning towards future smoother implementation process [ 42, 68, 69].
As workaround behaviours are not legally sanctioned, they can be viewed poorly by colleagues [ 36, 38] and not accommodated for by 'mediocre' [ 66] and casual or non permanent nurses [ 42].
Additionally, the selection criteria were designed to screen out papers examining violations that are not workarounds: intentionally malicious violations (e.g. physical, sexual and human rights violations); misconduct violations (e.g. sporting, contract, copyright, privacy and parole violations); linguistic violations; violations of scientific, mathematical, statistical and engineering principles.
Although these controls have been implemented using some clever combinations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, they are workarounds and not true controls, because they are not available as part of the basic markup language.
