The Mega32 only has 2 KiloBytes of RAM and a word sampled at 4 KHz for a half a second would require 2 Kilobytes of memory to store.
CNN Concatenated is an 18-minute collage of thousands of single spoken words sampled from the US rolling news network rearranged to form an ambiguous but threatening narrative.

The disc opens with an insouciant 10-minute masterpiece called "Easy Lee," on which a few words, sampled and digitally processed, provide not only the melody but the momentum, too -- the beat fades in and out, as if to demonstrate that it's not really needed.
