As Van Morrison sings in Wonderful Remark over The King of Comedy's opening titles, "Now, how can we listen to you / When we know your talk is cheap …?" It's a question historians will be asking of the Trump era – provided of course there are historians around to study it.
Former Beirut hostage, John McCarthy presented the award; while testifying to the importance of Morrison's song "Wonderful Remark" McCarthy called it "a song... which was very important to us".

But the wonderful thing about the remark, a disarmingly honest blurt, is that it catapults Michelle's "illicit" affair -- which, for what it's worth, was instigated by her young beau, played by the swoon-inducingly sensitive Jake Gyllenhaal -- straight into the territory of the mundane.
David Cannadine of the Institute of Historical Research spoke positively of One Day in History, remarking: "The wonderful thing about these records is we don't yet know what it is about them that will be interesting in the future".
It may surprise people (in a good way) if you come out with a wonderful, unexpected, well-informed remark.
