pneumoniae coinfection with the cytokine data from the single S. pneumoniae infection group, in silico results predicted bacterial clearance as in the single bacterial infection without further parameter fitting (Fig. S5).
We finally assessed the physiological plausibility of the model by comparing the encoding properties of the simulated neurons, without further parameter fitting, with those of neurons recorded from primate auditory cortex (Kayser et al., 2009; 2012).
Both are supervised classifiers, for which a model is trained on a labeled training dataset (training mode) and thereafter applied to predict new examples without further parameter tuning (prediction mode).
We find that the simulated potential distribution is in excellent agreement with the experimental data without any further parameters involved to fit the amplitude or shape of the defect.
The interfacial force field with time-lapsed classical molecular dynamics (CMD) provides superlattices in good quantitative agreement with the experimental results, for a misorientation angle of (10.4±0.5°), without any further parameter adjustment.
That our model reproduces the biological sequence instantly without any further parameter tuning, confirms our assumption a posteriori.
Our results show that proper Bcd gradient profiles, as judged by the three criteria (see Fig. S3 legend for values), can be obtained when the mitotic process is specifically incorporated into our model without requiring further parameter adjustments (Fig. S3; also see Fig. S2 for a model performance comparison).
Lastly, the predicted results were compared to PEG (MW = 200, 1000) selectivity data inside NIPA gel, and were found to be in good agreement with the proposed model without further adjustable parameters.
To explore the effect of further parameters, Figure 5 shows how the outcome depends on parameters K and R+.
New technologies do allow for further parameters to be gathered from our bodies and personal preferences.
