To understand the effect of the regulatory SNPs in ROR1 and PLCB1 in different sub-populations, we repeated our association analysis within two subgroups of the population as divided by sex, age, insulin level, or calcium level.
Our association results within the DCDC2 and KIAA0319 (including TDP2, ACOT13, and C6orf62) areas are in LD with two previously reported risk variants: the READ1 regulatory element in DCDC2 and the KIAA0319 risk haplotype in KIAA0319 and TDP2.
Interestingly, in over 50% of cases within our study, no association of complaints with BV or candida vulvovaginitis could be drawn.
Seventeen of these SNPS showed no nominally significant association within our GWASMA results (data not shown).
As MT1 promotes the motility of several cancer cell types on various matrices including collagen (Gingras et al, 2001; Rozanov et al, 2001; Takino et al, 2004), we evaluated this potential association within our panel of ovarian cancer cell lines.
