We analysed this dataset using ASTRAL and obtained a tree that generally has high BS on the branches (i.e. with the exception of four branches, all branches have support at least 86%, and most have 100% support).
With the exception of Myotinae branch for OAS1, c odeml analysis with FDR correction confirmed all branches, but BEB and MEME analyses detected lineage-specific positively selected sites in MB21D1 only (fig. 2 and supplementary table S4, Supplementary Material online).
With the exception of simulations of branch lengths of 1.2 substitutions/site (ANOVA P = 0.002), the mean estimated rate was the same for each dataset (ANOVA P>0.35).
