tBLASTN and BLASTP (if the protein database were available) or BLAT searches were performed using the HMG domain of the well-defined Sox group B member SOX1 of Homo sapiens as the query with the current assemblies and predicted proteins in the genomes of the examined species to identify and/or retrieve the Sox group B member sequences.
