Across the participants as a whole, People who were knowledgeable about climate change believed more strongly that it is happening, that it is being caused by human activities, and that it has negative consequences than those with less knowledge.
Following research on differential teacher treatment, we expect teachers to interact more often with students who possess high prior knowledge in a given domain than with their less knowledgeable classmates.
Interviewees from the provinces of Rovigo and Vicenza were less likely to be conscious of the health risks associated with body modifications, and those with tattoos were less knowledgeable about the infection risk (OR = 0.60; 0.86, 0.86) and less likely to refer to a professional health care provider in case of medical complication (OR = 0.68 0.48, 0.95).
However, smokers with COPD seemed less knowledgeable about the relationship between their health and smoking; were indignant about a perceived lack of empathy from doctors; expressed in particular that their view of life was interrelated with quitting; and had less faith in the efficacy of smoking cessation medications.
These findings are in line with other studies that have documented that women with low education are less knowledgeable about the need for cervical screenings and have limited resources to cater for their screening attendance due to its inherent cost [ 23].
