The objective of this study was to undertake a systematic review of qualitative literature to identify methods used to identify high performing hospitals, the factors associated with high performers, and practical strategies for improvement.
4. Surround yourself with high performers.
Changes in midbrain dopamine levels mirrored the behavioural baseline-dependent effect: low performers had reduced methylphenidate-induced BPND reductions in the midbrain compared with high performers, with smaller dopamine changes being associated with greater improvements on the sustained attention task.
Corroborating this finding, repeated measures ANOVA revealed lower BPND%% change in low compared with high performers in substantia nigra/ventral tegmental area (Fig. 9) [ F 1,28) = 9.351, P = 0.005; F(1,28) = 5.46, P = 0.027 and F 1,28) = 5.2, P = 0.030 for bilateral, left and right substantia nigra/ventral tegmental area, respectively], but not in any other region.
Compared with high performing hospitals, low performers for heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, and pneumonia had a higher percentage of African-American patients.
With the higher performer data, the intrinsic value had a positive relationship between other SRL factors.
With the higher performer data, we found a low level of correlation between the internal value and test anxiety (0.285), but with the low performer data, there was almost no correlation (0.076).
Use of these tools to assess candidates for jobs has surged over the past few years as companies have sought to better match candidates with roles, to pinpoint characteristics of higher performers, or to provide insights about the likely derailment paths of aspiring leaders.
Thus, these results suggest reduced mental effort in higher performers compared to lower performers.
The different experimental groups showed accuracy differences across all load levels with younger high performers showing the best and older low performers showing the poorest performances.
