The new PBS mini-series "1900 House," which started last week, follows a modern British family that has agreed to spend three months living in a London townhouse that has been carefully de-modernized -- electric wiring stripped out and gas lighting put back into service, plumbing degraded back to Victorian standards and so on.
The information is pretty straightforward and familiar: remove the cover, identify the starter wires, strip, zap.
The special steel supplied in forms of cake, ring, rod, tube, wire, strip, forging, and casting.
This should reveal four wires, strip 1/2" off of each of these individual wires.
Lift up the hard drive (large rectangular piece) carefully, without unplugging the wire strip.

Inside the metal side (or back), you will see a small metal box that the headphones are plugged into (this is the headphone jack) and a wire strip that connects to the hold button.
If the instructions call for cutting and/or joining of wires, strip back the wires you will be joining about.25 inch (0.6 cm), slip shrink-wrap tubing over 1 end of each wire, solder the stripped ends of the wires together with a soldering gun, add a small dab of silicone sealant to the soldered area, and slide the shrink-wrap tubing over the entire wire.
"Lilya 4-Ever" is a live wire stripped of insulation, and the sparks engulf everything in their path.
