The fourth series of the revived comedy Arrested Development will similarly only be streamed through Netflix, but is already being tipped by awards watchers.
There will be some restrictions on sharing, the blog pointed out – for example, videos will only be able to be streamed on one device at a time, it claims.
However, you will only be able to stream this content – you won't be able to download a file unless you were the original uploader.
That will only be accelerated through music streaming services' entry into the market and the rapid consumer adoption of smart speakers.
However, in a rather absurd turn, streaming will only be enabled when you have a special Netflix disc in your PS3.
There will be separate editions for the UK and the rest of the world: because the BBC only has rights to stream content in the UK, it will only be the UK version that will include streamed video; the international version, the BBC tells me, will only have links to clips on its website.
Live streams will only be available on YouTube proper (you can't embed it in widgets yet), and YouTube won't be archiving the footage, either.
Going forward, though, the streamed matches will only be viewable for fifty dollars a season.
Initially, users will only be able to view one stream in the home until November 2015 when support for two streams is added.
The streams will only be available in the UK and Eire, so if you want to join in and you're outside those territories, this is the time to think about renting or buying the DVDs (a new Blu-ray version is out in the UK through Artificial Eye on 21 November).
Perhaps that is why the news stream will only be turned on during trading hours.
