The steady-state displacements and moments in a Bernoulli Euler beam of finite width and infinite extent, resting on a poroelastic halfspace and subjected to a concentrated load moving at a constant velocity, were investigated using the concept of the equivalent stiffness of the halfspace.
The transport of light in this class of system is driven by modes characterized by resonances of finite spectral width and spatial extent, generated by the interference between multiple scattered light waves.
It can also be improved by adding more adapted models, notably for the correlation between the crack width and the crack extent.

In contrast, significant changes in the fiber width occurred throughout the course of hydrolysis for all of the substrates, suggesting that fiber width may limit the rate and extent of cellulose hydrolysis.
