Those with electron-rich aromatic groups gave excellent yields, whilst electron deficient coupling partners also performed well, giving the 2-nitrophenyl and 4-acetylphenyl-geldanamycin derivatives 17 and 18 in 64 and 65% yield, respectively.
Furthermore, distinct TLRs appear to differentially control the Th1/Th2 balance; thus, whilst MyD88-deficient mice show a profound impairment of Th1 cytokines, TLR2-deficient mice show greatly enhanced Th1 and Tc1 responses to YF-17D.

We noted that when we administered a lower dose of exogenous IL-33 only mice capable of producing endogenous IL-33 went on to activate the IL-33 promoter, whilst IL-33-deficient (Il33 Cit/Cit) mice did not, implying that the additional endogenous IL-33 was necessary to potentiate the IL-33 pathway.

Many more osteoclasts formed in vitro from the blood precursor cells isolated from critically ill patients, which accumulated p62, and displayed reduced expression of Atg5, Atg7, and LC3 II compared to healthy controls, suggesting deficient autophagy, whilst addition of rapamycin reduced osteoclast formation.
