Using the least squares means analysis, nondepressed subjects exhibited the largest adjusted mean left hippocampus volume (3.59mL), while remitted depressed subjects were slightly smaller (3.54mL) and nonremitted depressed subjects exhibited the smallest mean volume (3.29mL).
Some investigators feel that primary progressive disease is a distinct condition and should be considered separately from relapse remitting disease, while others feel that this apparent distinction is just a reflection of the fact that the activity of the relapsing component of the disease is highly variable, being essentially absent in some cases and prominent in others.
These data are then shown plotted in Figures 1 and 2, where Figure 1 shows the time profile of remitting households and remittance levels while Figure 2 shows the time profile of income, remittance levels, and average propensities to remit.
Over 1 year, ~60% of depressed patients experience symptom resolution, while 40% continue to suffer a chronic or remitting course of illness.
In summary, the results show that while the introduction of Seguro Popular did not affect the remitting behaviour of households that were eligible for the program, it did affect the remitting behaviour of households that were not eligible to enrol in Seguro Popular.
The disease is self-limiting with 70 80% undergoing spontaneous remission while other cases may be chronic with a relapsing and remitting pattern [ 3].
On one hand, the idea that visits augment the propensity to remit is not observed in all contexts: while it is confirmed in Italy and France, there is no significant relationship between short returns and remitting in Spain (Fig. 3, col. A).
