Sorghum is the main cereal grown in flood recession conditions while both millet and sorghum are grown in rain-fed fields.
Maize prices in the capital city, Bangui, rose 31percentt between January and November 2013, while millet prices increased by 70percentt between March and October in Ouham province, an important sorghum and millet producing area in the northwest.
