Recently many advanced hardware-based interconnection technologies have been introduced, and one of them is the InfiniBand Architecture (IBA) which supports shared-memory programming semantics by means of remote direct-memory access (RDMA) and atomic operations.
To address very large sets of enriched regions, we have extended the original C code to take advantage of multithreading, without requiring user configuration, via Grand Central Dispatch on OS X, and openMP (openmp.org), which supports shared-memory parallel programming on all architectures, including Unix and Windows.
OpenMP supports shared memory in a multi-processor environment, which gives more flexibility to programmers to develop their distributed applications.
These gene families include the bovine MHC (BoLA), ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters, Glutathione S-transferases, Complement factors, Interleukin-17A (IL17A), Heat shock 70 kDa protein 1A (HSPA1A), Chloride intracellular channel protein 1 (CLIC1), and Casein kinase II subunit beta (CSNK2B), which support the shared GO terms among mammals.
These gene families include olfactory receptors, ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters, Cytochrome P450, β-defensins, interleukins, the bovine MHC (BoLA) and multiple solute carrier family proteins which support the shared GO terms among mammals as shown in Additional file 1: Table S10.
Important systems concerns unique to the distributed case are workload sharing, which attempts to take advantage of access to multiple computers to complete jobs faster; task migration, which supports workload sharing by efficiently moving jobs among machines; and automatic task replication at different sites for greater reliability.
This paper discusses the implementation of a distributed execution environment, DJO, which supports the use of shared Java objects for parallel and distributed applications and provides the Java programmer with the illusion of a network-wide shared object space on loosely coupled distributed systems.
This paper shows performance results of the parallelization of a well-known CA model for simulating lava flows – the SCIARA model – in a shared memory environment, by means of OpenMP, an Application Programming Interface which supports multi-platform shared-memory parallel programming.
This method also suites the need of course sharing which supports collaborative teaching activity.
In this paper, we present COE, a peer-to-peer collaborative ontology editor, which supports the creation, editing, sharing, and reuse of ontologies, implemented on top of a general-purpose peer-to-peer framework, COPPEER.
