The pH stabilization for (ΔΔ G°37,pH = −1.56 kcal/mol) and (ΔΔ G°37,pH = −0.73 kcal/mol) can be attributed to the and segments (see the discussion above for different pH stabilization observed for and when lowering pH from 7 to 5.5), respectively, with no contribution from the and segments.
