Hence, the first-order weight derivatives of the data so obtained typically gives an indication of the type of carbon present (Figure 4).
The 51 kDa band corresponding to Cyclin E [18] and low molecular weight derivatives [19] were observed in both PS and RS (Fig. 2C).
While some of them, e.g. creatine kinase (CK), were present in closely isoelectric focusing located spots, suggesting the presence of isoforms or posttranslational modifications, the distribution of other spots, e.g. VTG derivatives, indicates a cleavage of precursor proteins with the presence of lower-molecular-weight derivative fragments.

Figure 7 shows the weight-derivative curves of TGA analysis on the pristine MWCNT samples and the ECR-plasma-treated MWCNTs.
This work demonstrates that, in addition to its intrinsic qualities, such as production of light-weight derivatives and a great resistance to drastic operating conditions, DMF-DMA facilitates simple and fast derivatization of organic compounds (three minutes at 140 °C in a single-step) that is suitable for an in situ analysis in space.
The work presented in this rationale has established that hexafluoroacetone, in addition to its intrinsic qualities, such as the production of light-weight derivatives (no racemization) and great resistance to the drastic operating conditions, has indeed facilitated simple and fast derivatization that appears to be suitable for in situ analysis in space.
Likewise, heparin has diverse, structure-related biological properties, only one of which is anti-coagulation and this can be manipulated through judicious structural modification to generate low-molecular-weight derivatives with improved selectivity (Norrby, 1993).
