The reprogramming of Müller cells toward rod photoreceptors is likely to be a temporal process and the 2 3 weeks end points of our analysis may not be long enough to have erased the parental gene expression and hence, the co-localization of both GS and opsin in regenerated cells.
Thus, at the 6-week end point, our sample size was too limited for characterization of efficacy.
