The phrase "weak motivation" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe a lack of strong drive or incentive to pursue a goal or task.
Example: "Despite his talent, his weak motivation to practice regularly hindered his progress."
Alternatives: "lack of motivation" or "low motivation."
People with high motivation for success and low motivation to avoid failure will be achievement-oriented, while people with strong motivation to avoid failure and weak motivation for success will try to avoid most achievement situations if possible.
