Discover LudwigThe phrase "we compared with" is not grammatically correct.
The correct preposition to use after "compare" is "to." For example, "We compared our results to those of the previous experiment." However, the phrase "we compared with" could be used in other contexts, such as "We compared with each other on our experiences abroad." In this case, "with" is being used as a synonym for "alongside" or "in relation to." This type of usage is less common and should be used with caution in formal writing.
