High-wattage reading lamps are terrific.
If a bulb goes out, the wattage change is read by the sensors and converted into a digital message by the computer.
Check the side of the reading lamp's base to see if a particular wattage or type of bulb is required before replacing the bulb, particularly if you are considering changing types of bulb.
Obviously, if the task of the lamp is to assist you while reading or drawing, then the lamp should have a higher wattage.
