More than hearts may be torn if the city gives the go-ahead to the titanic and controversial £5.5bn Liverpool Waters project proposed by property developers Peel Holdings.
The Liverpool Waters project includes 9,000 apartments, hundreds of offices, hotels, bars and a new cruise terminal on 60 acres of derelict dockland.
"Permitting is allowed in Class A watersheds, but developers have to make the call as to whether it's worth it to them to pay for additional environmental controls," said Dave Miko, the commission's fisheries management chief, and the biologist who helped engineer the Unassessed Waters Project.
In this contribution, the issue of integrating noncolocated geophysical and lithological data is addressed, and the results are applied to simulate groundwater flow in a heterogeneous aquifer in the Prairie Waters Project North Campus aquifer recharge site, Colorado.
