The water samples of this study were collected from two target sites which are "Sungai baluk" river, Gebeng Industrial Estate and landfill (Fig. 1).
Based on this classification, 80%% of the surface water of the study area belongs to fresh water and remaining 20%% to brackish water categories.
Moreover, since the authors used organic fluid instead of water, this study avoids the electrostatic effects associated with the polar nature of water and its interaction with the porous medium.
The Zayandehrud River Basin in Iran is used as an example of complex water system; this study provides a comprehensive description of the basin, including its water demands (municipal, agricultural, industrial and environmental) and water supply resources (rivers, inter-basin water transfer and aquifers).
