Nutritional status was assessed by weight for age (WFA: underweight), weight for height (WFH: wasting), height for age (HFA: stunting) z-scores and mid upper arm circumference (MUAC: wasting) according to the WHO.
Nutrition information is obtained from different malnutrition indicators such as weight-for-height (wasting), height-for-age (stunting) and weight-for-age (underweight) and is available for adults and/or children.
In order to see the performances of our specimens, elaborated with various percentages of waste, in height temperature, visual examination and mechanical tests of compressive and flexural strength were carried out for mortar (4 × 4 × 16) cm3, preserved 28 days in water and drying ovens during 24 h under a fixed temperature (50, 100, 125, 150 and 200 °C) (Fig. 7).
We enrolled 450 children with severe malnutrition defined as symmetrical oedema involving at least the feet or severe wasting (weight for height less than 3 SD) or both.

According to the 2010 Multiple Indicators Cluster Survey (MICS), the prevalence of wasting (weight to height ratio) among children under 5 at the national level increased from 6.4 per cent in 2005 to 9.5 per cent in 2010 and stunting (chronic malnutrition) rates among children under 5 increased from 22.4 per cent to 23.4 per cent for the same period.
The result shows that the exergy output of the recovery waste heat with optimal height of the sinter layer is increased by 22.80% compared with that with the height equal to a common value of 1.40 m.
From a control point of view the plant has long and variable time lag depending on a height of waste in the furnace.
We calculated age- and sex-adjusted community level nutritional z scores for wasting (weight-for-height z score [WHZ]), low MUAC (MUAC z score [MUACZ]), stunting (height-for-age z score [HAZ]), and underweight (weight-for-age z score [WAZ]) using the WHO Anthro software program 16 based on the WHO child growth standards.
