"My relationship with my mother, for the next 23 years, was very strained.
"The push is very mental," said Sinn. "It feels like a short amount of time when you get in that rhythm, but the weather or environment can be very straining and discouraging".
Although informal care is often the preferred option of those who provide and those who receive informal care, caring can nevertheless be very straining.
But relations were very strained before all this.
"For an Olympic year we've been very strained.
When the Falklands war broke out, relations for a time were very strained.
"Relations have been very strained between Russia and Turkey of late so Moscow will be trying its utmost to contain the damage this might cause," she added.
CH: Well, I certainly very much hope that, obviously, the process of healing in the relationships, which have been very strained in the family, will proceed, now that this is slowly getting behind us.
"The population is very strained.
And the relations between China and Norway are very strained at the moment".
