"It will be noticed," said Stefan Lindemann, a hotel director from Potsdam.
"They were very hard to see... usually only their egg cases can be noticed," said Lucas, describing how he went about examining the area of trees.
"It leads to a lack of continuity, in which a patient's needs can fail to be noticed," says Ellis.
"I think many people got afraid to be noticed," said Jaime Salgado, 37, an immigrant who works as a bus boy at a city restaurant.
"This is a man who, when he is not there, it is noticed," said Sandra Kolk, assistant superintendent for the Lakeland school district.

"If you're wearing white frames, you want to be noticed," said Selima Salaun, whose Selima Optique boutiques have long touted the primacy of eyewear as accessory.
It's not huge, but enough to be noticed, said Ida O'Toole, the owner of J. J. Hat Center, on Fifth Avenue in the 30's.
"Managers are actually not moving forward with new material for fear of actually being noticed," said one EPA employee who was not cleared to speak in public and asked for anonymity.
At the same time, with more and more people making their own clips and posting them on the Web, it is becoming harder for would-be virals to be noticed, said Caroline Slootweg, the head of new media at Unilever.
"Once you're reviewed in the New York area, you are noticed," said Stanley Drucker, the veteran principal clarinetist at the New York Philharmonic who has worked with both Mr. Thakar and Ms. Ben-Dor.
