Bourquin, V. et al. Xyloglucan endotransglycosylases have a function during the formation of secondary cell walls of vascular tissues.
At 4 to 7 DAI young GCs contained a dense cytoplasm, presented several nuclei and thicked cell walls compared to walls of vascular parenchyma cells (Figure 2).
Lignin is, however, a poly-aromatic non-sugar component typically found in tissues and cell walls of vascular plants and is formed through radical coupling polymerization of p-hydroxycinnamyl, coniferyl, and sinapyl alcohol units [8].
Moreover, recently introduced wire-reinforced walls of vascular access devices allow very thin cannula walls, reducing resistance to blood flow.
It has also been shown that XTHs can be involved in formation of secondary cell walls of vascular tissues [ 44- 46].
Crosslinking lignin with polysaccharides in the secondary cell walls of vascular tissue increases hydrophobicity, and thus gives these functional tissues the capacity to efficiently conduct water [ 4].
These enzymes are variously required for cell wall loosening and elongation, formation of the secondary cell walls of vascular tissues, hydrolysis of the xylan backbone, post-translational modifications (as glycosylations) of proteins and mobilization of energy in form of sucrose.
An earlier study confirmed that XTHs function during the formation of secondary cell walls of vascular tissues and are believed to be important regulators of primary wall expansion [ 13].
Consequently, the xyloglucan endotransglucosylase/hydrolase (XTH) family that was shown to be involved in the formation of the secondary cell walls of vascular tissue [ 27] (especially in regulating cotton fiber elongation [ 28– 30]) indicating the importance of this gene family in studying ramie fiber development.
The results of CT angiography was considered as positive if there was any signs of active extravasations of contrast materials, enhancement of the bowel wall, presence of vascular abnormalities, polyp, or tumor.
