Each infusion condition was subjected to the visual inspection test three times.
Differentiation was confirmed, by visual inspection, testing negative for the presence of OCT4, and testing positive for the presence of the three germline markers: alpha fetoprotein for endoderm [26], smooth muscle actin for mesoderm [27], and nestin for ectoderm [28].
In this evaluation the visual inspection strategies that we assessed were generally found to be cost-effective (assuming consistent test performance over time), with VIA strategies at higher screening frequencies tending to dominate careHPV strategies at lower frequencies; this was driven by the low cost of visual inspection testing.

As expected, we found that the costs of visual inspection screening tests are lower than those related to careHPV screening, because a large proportion (up to 40%) of the aggregated test cost is directly related to labour.
Results: Direct visual inspection, cytologic testing, human papillomavirus deoxyribonucleic acid testing, and cervicography, when used alone, identified 24, 26, 23, and 23 cases of disease (high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion or cancer) per 1000 women, respectively, and would classify 182, 71, 137, and 112 women without disease as having abnormal results.
On visual inspection, the test scores were similar across the TM and the IP testing conditions, in most cases.
