It is arguably not the aim of GSV to make visible these injustices and inequalities, but it is nevertheless crucial to consider two things: (1) whether the view is as "objective" as we may think it is; and (2) how much of the social dynamics of a disaster we can glean from GSV itself versus where the onus lies with the researcher to supplement the view "on screen" with additional understanding.
