Virtual set-up of orthodontic tooth movements.
For each phase, a model of the virtual set-up is printed through rapid prototyping.
The virtual set-up yielded an USW +11.58 % shorter than the UMW and a LSW +3 % shorter than the LMW.
Fujita's mushroom archwires and straight lingual archwires of different diameters, cross sections and alloys were derived by a virtual set-up of an equal malocclusion and were cut at their straight distal portion.

Tooth-supported implant drilling templates were designed by the dental technician, based on the final virtual set-ups using the Geomagic Freeform software (3D Systems, Rock Hill, USA), and then fabricated out of polymethacrylate (Fig. 5a, b).
