It is difficult to quantify how many points-of-view would be needed in order to satisfy most information needs; however, point-of-view refinement is roughly comparable to the conceptual scope of a subheading enhancement for MeSH subject headings, and currently there are 83 subheadings in use [ 22].
From an animal-ethical point of view, a refinement of the procedure is highly desirable.
However a performance comparison with other applications that implement a conventional point-of-view refinement may offer valuable insight.
