We have predicted a viable signalling pathway characterized in terms of the genes responsible that may be the PfPKB pathway recently elucidated in Plasmodium falciparum.
For a complex disease such as cancer, that hosts entirely deregulated but viable signaling pathways, the identification of a novel regulatory network such as suggested by Figures 4 and 5, of its components and of its dynamic behavior, is expected to have a major impact on clarifying the mechanistic details of disease progression.
