Current research regarding injuries caused during interactions between police officers and civilians is conducted intermittently or on a very narrow sample frame which provides very little clinical information about the injuries suffered or the adverse outcomes.
Pinched microfluidic injection enables the formation of very narrow sample plugs for fast, efficient separations, but the injected volume is fixed by the device geometry, and a quantitative bias may still be present because of more rapid depletion of high-mobility species from the sample reservoir.
