Participant responses and feedback from round 1 informed a revised version of the booklet, tested in a subsequent round.
Our initial version of the booklet was developed in collaboration with the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia (Masons) and was targeted to AA men and their spouses [ 55].
Almost all FCHVs and clients felt that the option of providing pictorial booklets to clients (as was done in the intervention) was preferable to giving clients either an inexpensive version of the booklet reproduced in black and white on photocopy paper or else no communication materials at all.
As this was only an aesthetic change to the revised version of the booklet and given that the EU targets for document testing were achieved in round 2, the authors deemed that a subsequent round of testing would not be required.
