The linear corrections with respect to these external parameters, to be applied to the vector scale factors and that are currently being investigated and implemented, clearly point at thermal gradient-related effects subject to both spatial and temporal variations.
The benefit of taking into account these additional parameters as extra first-order corrections (implemented in the same way as the corrections previously detailed) on the ASM vector scale factors has been considered and is illustrated in Figure 12.
