To have a deeper understanding of the natures of the vector correlation between reagent and product relative velocities, a natural generalization of the differential cross section __PDDCS00, is calculated.
The two CV's (males and females) are very similar with a vector correlation between them of 0.90.
When the angle is 0° the vector correlation between them is 1, when the angle is 90° the correlation between them is 0. To test for the statistical significance of the angle, shape residuals were resampled (by means of bootstrap) 999 times within each population to generate 95% confidence intervals for each population (see [ 98] for details).
The amount of FLG on the measured samples was estimated by performing a vector correlation between the pure FLG spectrum (Fig. 2) and the spectra obtained from the patients (Fig. 1(b)), this vector correlation was performed using the MathematicaTM program (Wolfram Research, Inc., Champaign, Illinois).

Special emphasis is placed on the analysis of time and vector correlations between ions detected in coincidence.
Vector correlations between chromosome-wide additive QTL and CSS effects are compared to among-CSS-effect vector correlations in Figure 3.
We used vector correlations between additive, dominant and sum QTL effects on the one hand and CSS shape change vectors on the other hand to assess similarity of effect directions between the QTL and the CSS results on a chromosome-by-chromosome basis.
We assessed this using vector correlation (Pearson correlation between vectors) between the CSS and QTL shape change vectors.
Moreover, besides coming from the missing zero vector, the correlation between any two components of w may come from the common random variable X 00∼Binomial K,π).
To evaluate the significance of the resulting vector correlations, we also calculated pairwise correlations between all CSS effect vectors.
The angle between the two ontogenetic shape vectors (the dot product the regression coefficients of each partial warp component on age) represents the between-vector correlation.
